Family.

Yesterday i set the ball rolling and slept, or tried to, sleep early...around 1plus...all the previous weeks of late nights is bad for my own biological clock i reckon...need to tilt it back abit so that i will not feel so lethargic in the afternoon. true enough, i does feel kinda lively now, energetic for the day ahead...though i didn't get as good a rest as i wanted due to the hot weather. =(
Anyway, as i was flipping around trying to sleep last night..i thought of what my mum said to me on Thursday when she sent me home. I was asking her whether she has bought any other insurance for me other than the one i knew 'cause i need to have an idea of how much i'm insured so that it will be better for me to plan out my finances once i start work. Being her, she begins to nag at me and "warns" me not to think of using that money as she wants to save it...mega SNORT...
Well, after nagging and nagging, she says she wants to save it all up and when she dies, it will, in the end, pass it down to us...i didn't think much of what she said then 'cause i'm in a shut-my-ear-and-stop-the-nagging mode...LOL...so thinking about it last night, it wasn't the money that she will pass down that i was thinking about, but the fact that it ain't that long before she and my dad pass away (of course my parents will pass away in old old age!!!) makes me feel sad...come to think about it, when you are busy with your career, your boy/girlfriend, your friends and colleagues, you wun have time for them. Later on, when you have children and other things to maintain, you still wun have time for them. By the time you have time for them, when you are retired, they may not be around anymore. For me it will be about 15-20 years when they reach they late-60s, well i guess i certainly doesn't want them to enjoy their life only till then. so i have decided to add one more item to my list. I am going to bring my whole family to Europe before i enter my 30s. =)
To those out there who feel a tinge bad about not respecting your parents at times (i admit i do!), not showing you care or even feel that you can do much more, don't wait to do something nice for them. don't wait till you have lots of money. don't wait till you can give them grandchildren to hold. don't wait till tomorrow. you never know whether there will be a tomorrow.
i sound like an old man. LOL.

Queensway Food Centre for dinner!

Our dinner at Queensway food centre today! suuuuuuper full~~~~

Qijun and Esther - we went on DOUBLE date! LOL

2nd doubles =D

well initially esther wanted to go to pasir panjang food centre to have dinner...then qijun suggested queensway food centre so that he can go there and eat the claypot laksa. upon reaching, we realise that the stall "suay suay" closed for business today. Down on luck. so in the end, we decided to eat the seafood stuff. quite a lot to eat for four persons, not to mention the durian juice esther ordered...eeeeeks! the "kang kong" was practically dipped in OIL sauce, those health conscious ones may make a mental note not to order it from the seafood stall at queensway FC next time you go there. =)

Anyway, i went to the gym! huuuuray! at least i did one item on my to-do list! many more to come this MAY! *excited excited*

Recently, i was on a roll for teresa teng's songs. Suddenly very "huai jiu". haha... Found this website, http://teresateng.org/Songs.html, where you can get alot of her songs from mandarin to japanese. =)

Sucker for Junk food! URGGGGH!

I'm not supposed to buy any junk food --> candies, old chang kee, etc. I told myself that this afternoon when i went to Compasspoint to have my haircut and return my books. I stood in front of old Chang Kee for 20 secs before deciding against buying anything...and then on my way back home, i pass by Jolly Bean and stood there and look at the menu for another 20 secs before deciding AGAIN not to buy anything!!! all these small BUT OFTEN expenditure are making a big hole in my pocket, especially this period where my hongkong trip is coming... **control control**

I reached home "safely". In the evening on my way back Sheares Hall, i went to NTUC to buy some food to bring back home. and then i pass by Prima Deli...i saw my favourite pancake and said, "Auntie, one chocolate and one blueberry. Thanks." The auntie skillfully shuffle between 6 pans, while at the same time, spreading my stated toppings onto the pancake, folded it and put it a plastic bag and passed it to me. DAMN! When i pass her the money, it seems like i have just woke up from a daze and i realised I AM NOT SUPPOSED TO BUY ANY JUNK FOOD!!! ARGHHHHHHHHH!!! !@#$@%#@%@#$%@#%$#@%$#@#%$@^@#$

Seriously, reducing my junk food intake by half would help save a lot of money for me. i think i shall set aside in my budget a SMALL, i mean REALLY small, amount of money for junk food and control my urges. i guess if need be, i may need to slip a RED warning note in my wallet that says, "DO NOT BUY JUNK FOOD!!!" so that i will be able to see it and remind myself not to buy anything needless. hurhur...but nevermind, my stomach is satisfied from the pancakes i had from Prima Deli for today...arrrrrrrr... =D

Moving moving... ***sighs***

I'm at home~!!!

was packing my stuff...stuffing them into my bags and come to think of it, i will say goodbye to sheares in one week's time. sighs* time flies. one more week to cherish my NUS life...Orientation 0304 --> holidays --> orientation 0405 --> holidays --> orientation 0506 --> holidays --> orientation 0607 --> GRADUATION. wah kao...sometimes it sends chills down my spine when i see my life ZIPPPPPPPPED past like that...like my orientation was just yesterday...omg...
Damn and i haven't set about to do the stuff i wanted to do for this "break" before i start work in June. I guess i will give myself till the end of the week to get un-coordinated and be messy before i put down some plans for the month. *excitement excitement*

Orientation 0607 - Hey people, keep that Eekers sign tradition, will ya?

Funny Angie and funnier "exams"

Funny "C/D" Angie and me
Sorry Angie, but i'm going to say your "chou shi" out here. last night, me KJ and Clarice were in lounge and Yiyu and Angie came in to make their Corn "supper"...so we were talking about going to Hongkong 'cause Angie is going for Summer program in Hongkong come mid June mah... so upon hearing that, KJ turns to Angie and ask her, "Angie! You got a C or a D????" Angie's reaction at the sudden question was to look down at her b**bies and then she looked at KJ and said, "No lah...dun have ah..."
HAHAAHAHA...its so damn funny looking at Angie giving that answer when i know KJ wasn't asking for her boobs size...hahahaha....angie also too humble to say no lah....lol...
the background story is... me and KJ was just talking about SEP the day BEFORE and that going for SEP cannot have a C or a D grade and KJ wanted to find out if Angie has C or Ds in her grades not...for Angie's case, being their "mu tou" for one year, of course i instinctively know that the first thing Angie thought was CUP SIZE cause its one of their FAV topics in datoucun, or should i say, sensitive topic...hurhur...
well anyway, this morning i'm supposed to go for my Color and Vision paper together with Sharon at 9am which i will FAIL for sure. guess what, me and sharon woke up at 9am...mega SNORT!!! LOL. so being the gentleman, i escort her to the exam venue and then decided i shall not go for the paper since im half an hour late. hah. so i went to Science library to read newspaper while waiting for Sharon. on the bright side, Sharon told me after the paper that even if i go in and attempt to do the paper, i WILL NOT have the slightest chance to pass. hahaa....so i guess i made the right choice to read up on the news instead of sleeping on the table of the exam hall...heehee...
P.S i have never been late for exams lor...what a memorable ending to my NUS life with a F where i woke up at the exam timing and a U following closely behind (Jap paper is tomorrow and im not going. haha.) i think if it was anybody else, they would really say "F U" after all these crap...hey dun learn from me! i know you won't! study hard! =)

Another boring day went by just like that...

Okay today went by just like that...time pass by too fast manz...woke up after 12noon, had cereal that KJ bought for me =)...went to chat in her room for a while...go to co-op to buy comics go back hall to disturb Sabby who's trying to act studious (hurhur) and go back room for some DOTA. all in a day's work. Anyway, alot of people seem to be VERY surprised that i started blogging...haha... HEY! im a blogger! get that in your mind! LOL! at least now i can say i have tried it...well...its actually quite nice (for now) 'cause whenever im bored, i can just come here to "pen" down whatever happened or whatever thoughts i have...if not, i can snoop around other people's blogs. Let's see how things unfold from here on when i start working...maybe i will be so NOT free that i stop blogging.
Anyway, for those still having exams! HAVE FUN! for those who do not have exams! HAVE FUN TOO!
Here's some stress reliever...sorry girls... =)
[She got a mud pack, and looked great for two days.
Then the mud fell off.]
[She ran after the garbage truck, yelling, "Am I too late for the garbage?" The driver said, "No, jump in!"]

Caroline's birthday. look at her biceps!

Hurray! Exams are officially over for me! even though i have one more paper on Wednesday, which i don't intend to study cause i know NUTS about science and its jargons. its okay...add an F to my transcript and i will have grade A to F in my transcript, not forgetting the U for japanese. =D The most important thing is to graduate this semester, so that i can go out and work and gain precious experience, though i will greatly miss this place. not the studying, definitely. but the people here that makes my life so much better and fill them up with all sorts of nonsense. "tian xia mei you bu shang de yan xi." wishing those who graduate many many best wishes in their career and thereafter and those who are still studying, mug hard but play harder cause thats the only time you get play like nobody's business. okay...time to sit down and think about what i am supposed to do while EVERYONE else are busy mugging. heh.

a Joke. not for people who cant take crude language.

Okay im very bored now after studying 3 lecture notes...so i decided to post this joke that Eujack told last night during our OLD seniors gathering.

[one day, Ah Beng came across an Aladdin lamp and he rub and rub and rub. Poof! out came the Genie. Genie says, "okay i give you 3 wishes. Name it." Beng, using his Ah Beng language, says, "Nin Pei Si Mi Lan Jiao Gor Aye (your father every dick also want)!" pop! pop! pop! pop! his body grew all kinds of "lan jiao"s (got long, short, big, animals, etc). Ah beng feels very uncomfortable with all these new "accessories" hanging on his body, so he said, "wah lau, okok, Nin Pei Si Mi Lan Jiao Ma Mai (your father every dick also dun wan)!" so pop! pop! pop! pop! all the dicks on his body all disappear, including his very own. Ah Beng was very shocked so he quickly says, "Genie, Kok Wa Gu Zhar Hi Tiao (give me my old one back)!" so POP! Genie dunno which one he wants so he gave him the cute little one that he has when he was born.]

=)

Digging digging... My Photo Gallery!

Me and DaTouCun! I love this pic alot wor! =)

G1 and G2! G1 in her fav color!

SNDCC 0708 - my date! =)

SNDCC 0708 - someone don't wanna take photo...

SNDCC 0708 - trying to make her head look smaller...it did...for this moment only...

Okay i was sorting out my photos and found some really nice photos so i decided to post them up here every now and then...makes me more disciplined to check out my photo collection once in a while too. =) i dun wan to end up losing all the data in my harddisk again and LOSE ALL MY PHOTOS!!! that will be disastrous! for those of you who never had the experience of deleting your whole hard disk by mistake, its painful. better do backup before you do any formatting or attempt any throw-that-harddisk-on-the-floor-to-see-if-it's-shockproof act.

Movies

Watched "Fracture" today by Ryan (Gosling?) and Anthony Hopkins. Supposed to be studying today AND tomorrow for my all-important CORE module on monday but i guess i was too bored and decided to go ahead to give myself some reward for NOT studying for the past few days. haha...Hey its not a bad movie! Plot brings you along nicely and Anthony Hopkins is GOOOOD and funny. =) Rating: 4 Stars!

NUS Vs TungShan! Division I here we come!

Me and Sharon Posing after our game against TungShan
woot! late by a few days but better than none! after a series of leading and trailing by us and Tungshan, we managed to overcome a 6points deficit at the end of 3rd Quarter to emerge victorious over Tungshan. woohoo! This means that we are now 100% sure that we are going to move up the ladder and go to Division I next year where we will get to meet a lot more stronger teams! Home United. SAFSA. Chongyi. National players...woooo! looks like we have better train hard for our next season to climb up to the challenge. Nonetheless, I'm very excited to play in the new division. =) Let's hope my work committments still allow me to play and train hard!

BUSTED!

damn. BBQ on level 6. smoke. smoke detectors. activated. BUSTED. damn...damn the closed SHORT WING door that kept all the smoke in and activated the fire alarms. some people deserve a worse grade than they get for such stupidity and selfishness. Never mind. we should have taken that into account too and light up on the rooftop instead. As my coach always says, "Hindsight, everyone is 20/20 vision." let's just hope master is lenient on this matter and give us a lighter sentence.

Sorry to everyone who has to bear with the ALARM for 20 mins. Really sorry.

But I am definitely not sorry to those that do not deserve it. =D

Enjoying our food after being "chased" to the rooftop

In any way, it was a good gathering. people bbq-ing, eating, chatting, playing, singing, gossiping, complaining, card-ing and macdonald-ing. hope everyone is more relaxed now for the exams though i do not to be anymore relaxed. if im more relaxed, i should have been in the coffin right now. =) my mugging shall start after WEDNESDAY. and i will call it study hour instead of study week. =) life of a soon-to-be-graduate that doesn't have to worry about grades. yeah! for those whose life hangs by the CAP, study hard! but do not forget life is not all about CAP! enjoy your life in NUS, for you are never going to get a second chance, especially if you are staying in hall!

"Dai Di". loser drinks. i think i drank 20 cups. *vomits* went to the gents 6 times after that...

Today --> TeamNUS vs TungShan. TungShan will hope that they do not meet us cause we are definitely going to go all out and grab a convincing victory over our next opponent, which is them sadly. hehe.

TeamNUS vs MinYi Division I finals

Block E oldies! UNITE!

Second? SECOND?

This is why this evening definitely felt better than yesterday's. TeamNUS lost in yesterday NBL Division II Finals against MinYi. we got Second. =( see all those "V"s in the pictures? it means alot of things. we got SECOND and we lost by 2 points in our second encounter with MinYi. last game in the preliminaries we won them by 30+. bad game? yes. shit happens. but anyway, we still have another important match coming up on Wednesday that will determine whether we will promote up to Division I. Oush! 5 ticks!

Virgin Post!

First post~!

hmm...wondering why this 25 year old here is so "bo liao" to blog. always wanted to post but didnt and couldnt see myself doing it. well...if one do not keep up with times, i guess we will be kicked out and be run over by a lorry sooner or later. Actually i was reading this book "Leverage" by Darby Checketts and he was talking about making a list of 150 activities/goal that you will want to do or achieve before you die and going through my mind, i saw alot of stuff that i want to do in my mind and among them, remotely, was definitely having something that can keep track of all the stuff that i have done or will be doing in the future...and tada! here's my blog. hopefully when i look back i can see what i have done/achieve and live life with no regrets!

Dear friends let's keep in contact!

let's hope this can be ONE but not the only one source of contact with all my friends out there though i will prefer to meet up with each and every one of you out there in person to catch up on ol' times. LIFE IS SHORT. really short. those that matters to you, take the proactive approach and do something about it. do not sit back and wait for him/her to call or email you.

Okay! first post up! as they always say, the first step is the hardest! =) and the road seems much brighter this evening compared to yesterday...

more updates soon!
