I happened to chance upon this article on the straits times today regarding some debate about whether the government is right in dipping into our reserves that was kept untouched for so many years. and i was particularly annoyed by the comment by this undergrad who said we shouldn't do it because "SHE DOESNT FEEL THE PINCH" yet. I mean, what the hell. She doesnt feel it cos she is still living on her PARENTS' means. You dun have to worry about paying your own bills, put money aside, give allowance to your family, pay your own insurance, taking cab or bus/MRT, drop by for a Starbucks and get the pair of red heels you so desire.

i definitely QUESTION the sanity of the person who asked her opinion about this debate. Im not against people who are AGAINST the idea, just not from someone who have no inkling of the situation out there. Working for almost two years now i can really see the difference and the impact the world economy is having on Singapore and i am definitely worrying about my paycheck that i will collect by the end of this year and maybe, next.

Personally, I think its time to dip into the reserves. Not now, when? And if people are worried about opening the Pandora's Box that once you start taking, you wun stop, then when are you going to use it for the greater good? Maybe when another Lehmann falls?

Save it for 3009, maybe?

Oh well, im just whining here cos i feel like it. Having HouseWithdrawalSyndrome mah...

Froze.

I seemed to have stopped in my steps, stopped moving forward and ever feeling so lethargic. Things are not moving fast and feels disorganized, which i obviously hate that feeling. Im officially on a depression. hah. somehow, i am not feeling depressed about being depressed. Maybe its a good sign, time to recheck myself.



On a side note, a deserving Golden Globe for best Supporting Actor to Heath Ledger. Two Thumbs Up! =)

2009

Been rather lazy to update lately.. but 2009 has been goood up till now...considering the fact the number of "material" goods i am AND will be getting... heh. and somebody's coming back~~

2009 is going be an exciting year. I know it's gonna be... whats best to start the year off with a trip to Phuket/Phi Phi Island in February. Its been...almost 6 years since i was last in Phi Phi Island, really makes me wonder how it is like AFTER the tsunami.

I hope it's still beautiful, the sun, sea and the beach. Add the alcohol and pubs in the night and breeze blowing in your face by the sea. Minus the annoying dad (not my dad), frustrating work and heaps of other misc activities you need to do over here. Equals no stress, no headache, fun-filled holiday even with a small-budget! =)
