Day 1

Just back from the airport.

.
.
.

Yub. Missy Sharon has boarded the flight, heading towards the land of dreams - United States of America. Me so very the tired now. yawns. was really tired at work. met up with sharon yesterday to have lunch and then proceeded to NUS to play bball. started work for a few hours and i started to feel the soreness in my arms and legs and not to mention, the sleepy-ness that strikes me every moment when i sat down. Luckily, I am able to go off early at 4 am today to go to the airport to send deary off.

How do i feel? Sad? of course...a tingly bit of sadness...but time flies and it will not be long before we see each other again, and in the meantime, i shall make full use of this time to really work on my work and other miscellanous stuff. Be strong!

1.0.2.3

1.0.2.3 D.A.Y.S

Today marks the 1023rd day together with Dear.
And tomorrow, she will be leaving for U.S. for her OJT. Be strong! Will miss you greatly.

How's it going to be like for the next one and a half year? Nobody really knows. So dear, what do you think will see us through this? A strong faith in the relationship. Commitment to each other. And a strong belief that this relationship can stand the test of time and space. In times of doubt, believe in ourselves and trust in one another.

Love you, always.
No. 51

Wishing you a safe and happy trip and we will see each other real soon!

Two kinds of person.

"There are two kinds of people on earth today;
Just two kinds of people, no more, I say.

Not the sinner and saint, for it's well understood,

That the good are half-bad and the bad half-good.

Not the rich and the poor, for to rate a man's wealth,

You must first know the state of his conscience and health.

Not the humble and proud, for in life's little span,

Who puts on vain airs, is not counted a man.

Not the happy and sad, for the swift flying years

Bring each man his laughter and each man his tears.

No; the two kinds of people on earth I mean,

Are the people who lift, and the people who lean.

Wherever you go, you will find the earth's masses,

Are always divided in just these two classes.

And oddly enough, you will find too, I ween,

There's only one lifter to twenty who lean."

- Wheeler Wilcox

Week long course. Boring...

Do you have the hunger?

Back in the course since Monday, looking at the people who have joined PSA in July, I had a glimpse of how I felt and looked like back then in June. Ever eager to take down notes here and there, full of hope and looking forward to every challenge then... one month into the job, i realise the feeling is different... the thought has changed from "need to know EVERYTHING" to "too much things to learn, just learn as you go". Its true there are alot to pick up as we go along...but the hunger to find something new each day seems to be lesser and lesser. Is it because we have known much more than our first few weeks or is it something else?

somehow right now, since i have started having a better idea of what my job encompass and where my job boundaries lie...certain things are not as initially imagined. how should i put it? let's just say, our powers are limited. we cant do everything. and things that we wanted to change initially seems impossible right now. Take for example the idea of treating everyone as a 10 rather than a 1...how is that possible when communication itself is a great barrier to overcome? when talking to them requires the presence of an interpretor, usually the foreman...

In any case, to do great things, we must have the audacity to stand by our principles, and to change things. To have the ambition to make it a better place and improve things. Make enquiries. Question procedures. Make things happen.

Dare to reach the highest.

Time to sit down and really set the tone right. Although i do not feel that I am slacking back a lot, somehow i still feel that much more can be done. I need more will power and determination to get alot of things done.

long week...

Just back from my night shift...zzz...
wanted to blog abit yesterday, but my stupid pc gave me problems...
i think its time to change my pc... but no $$$...or rather, im unwilling to splurge on it...

as again, two more accidents one hour before my reporting off time...you never know what will happen until the very last minute. well in any case, i shall go and take a nap and then wake up to enjoy my off day today and tomorrow. =)

Good night!

Alumni

Sharon and I at the Airport.

Guess who this ah beng is?

SRJC Alumni. our usual routine -> to take a shot with the trophy every year whether we won or not. =D

Despite sleeping at 0300hours, i still pulled myself up from the bed and went for our annual SRJC bball competition. got myself a tan! LOL. only my arms and face as we were all wearing the jerseys for most of the time. the sun was very hot today, would have been a good day to go for a swim. Well, we didnt have alot of people coming back today. some were sick, some overseas...abit disappointing but i hope we will be able to send out a team from our batch every year and be the oldest team still playing ten years down the road. =D

On course for the coming week! packed with activities every day! let's hope i do not spend that much for going out every day after work.

Woot! hectic day....

Haven't really been able to sit down and blog these few days...packed with activities...just ended my night shift yesterday, slept for 4 hours and went to the airport to send KJ off and proceeded on to Cathay to watch Harry Potter...finally came back home, showered and here i am blogging abit while waiting for my hair to dry...

been a really hectic day...started off with the stupid accident at 0700hours by some stupid driver. drove down to the accident site to assess the situation and guess what, we realised the tyre was punctured when we wanted to go back to our control room. Mega Snort. asked my IC to drive us back and then i went back to change the tyre. yes i changed the bloody tyre and got my new ring scratched. F**k. all because of one stupid driver who wants to save some time by overtaking on the left...in PSA, overtaking on the left is a NO-NO. stuppppidddd!! and so, had to stay back to take down his statement and he got a big scolding from my shifu, for wasting our time. i left my office at 11am...zzz...

and the sending off of KJ at the airport felt more like a gathering among ourselves, as KJ is busy doing her own stuff. Shes missing in action for most of the time we were there. LOL

and Harry Potter...well i do not really have any particular liking or disliking to harry potter...but story wise, all these good and evil stuff, i still think LOTR is better. action-wise, LOTR is definitely still better...and somehow i just feel weird looking at the wizards flying around modern world...i would say all the action scenes lasted maybe for 10-15minutes out of the 2hours + movie and what the hell is with the centaurs? the only thing i know is that, "orh, there are centaurs in the world of harry potter." thats all. no value added to the movie. and i saw only one dark shade of half man half horse thing, nothing majestic about them... i rather they replace the centaurs with something else. the only good thing? Hermione. Overall: 3stars...zzz...maybe cause i am abit tired from the hectic day...

Short of breath. *huff & puff*

Been really short of breath at times during ball games lately. and I know while its partly because of me running just once or twice a week, but it ain't the main reason. seems to have lost focus on what I wanna do off court AND on court. this is the bottom of the pit...getting really frustrated at not getting into my game...no passion, no drive... no passion, no drive... no passion, no drive... no passion, no drive... i guess its one of those times when one feels like taking a break from it all for a few weeks to refresh themselves. How can the ang mohs have such an endless amount of energy??? i guess most of them are working too and i doubt they really run alot...but they doesn't seem like they are tired at the end of the game after all the running around and flying around. Cant let this carry on. i guess im going to get myself a ball and start training...come next march, im not going to disappoint. It ain't a sunny day today. otherwise, i would have gone for a swim. Shall gym instead and then get ready for my night shift.

Officially Graduated~!

Mum, Dad, Harry potter and the chinese gf. LOL

one of the hundreds of Harry potter and the chinese gf...whats her name?

Two harry potters..

Freaking hell we really look like harry potters with the robe... and the professors with the clothed cap look like Dumbledore and his gang of sinister professors..

Anyway
.
..
...

Yipppppey! 我毕业了!!!

After sitting in the UCC theatre for a freaking long 2 hours, I finally heave a sigh of relief and it certainly feels good to be out of the theatre. It didn't really felt like a moment of pride and joy to me, but i guess this day belongs to our parents and therefore, I was right there receiving the scroll. Why the hell do i want to stay there for two hours looking at hundreds other people, of which 99% of them i do not know, receiving their scrolls...

Well although i guess they will not ever read my blog...I still wish to say THANK YOU, MUM and DAD for all the years of supporting my every actions and decisions, for being so patient with me and giving me so much freedom that its overflowing...now that I am out in the cruel wicked tormenting working, rest assured i will look after both of you!

next time maybe both of my parents will stay with sharon and I in our small comfy house, and occasionally, dear, you can go back and visit your parents in their OWN house.

Oops!
sorry dear!
just joking... =P

OKAY! FINE!
im half serious!
;)

anyway, thank you dear too for coming down specially to take photos with me! See i told you to bring your gown too so that we can take photos together also right? in the end, my mum also ask you to borrow one from someone else to take photo right? and thank you for walking down this 3 years with me...we still have a long journey ahead of us, so..have faith and enjoy every moment!

To those who haven't graduate, ENJOY your studying life! its now or never! working life ain't that bad...if you enjoy what you are doing...but you are just gonna be a student for only so long...when its time to move on, its time to move on. =)

3 days slacking - Day 1 - Commencement

Having my graduation ceremony 3hours later...do not feel like going...hurhur...just finish ironing my graduation dress...its one big shit of cloth to iron...lets get it over and done with! oush!

met up with Slacklene for dinner last night...well...realise that she is...still slack! LOL! with the exception of having two more classes at night...YOU ARE STILL VERY SLACK!!! muahaha... anyway, nice dinner. good food good company. =) hope you are able to achieve your many aims (find out what you want to do...cap 3.2! swimming! be a good chef! and many more!) before you officially reach this day that im having soonz - graduation. =D

Transformers! 3.5 stars! its really not bad despite some of the negative reviews i read. true enough, the transformation are abit messy that your eyes may get dazzled and you may feel abit giddy trying to keep up...but the actions are good (better than fantastic 4!), its quite funny (i like the part where they are playing hide and seek.) and the chick is...erm...cute? LOL.

Shorts, T-shirt and....waist pouch!

After 4weeks of wearing formal attire (jeans and polo Tee for night shifts), i finally wore shorts, tshirt, coupled with my waist pouch which was covered in dust when i found it, hidden over at one small corner...feels good! cosy and soooo natural to go out in such a casual, "lok-kok" attire...im going to repeat this again today at Plaza Singapura...lol sorry to those fashion-conscious people who thinks that going to orchard have to be in, at the very least, smart casual...what's wrong with slippers, waist pouch and shorts? LOL.

Going to watch Transformers (~~transformers~~ no money to buy~~ heard that the cartoon ol' classic song is not gonna be in the movie...so sad..) with dear...it better be gooooooood...

just saw on MTV two days ago about this show that pits two niggers against each other in a battle of words...they are supposed to taunt each other...i think our taunts in singapore are peanuts! P-E-A NUTS! they are really damn good... "your mama is soooo FAT! that she can't even fit into MySpace~~" and the winners are usually those who are able to counteract these taunts in a blink of an eye...sometimes they talk so damn fast, the crowd behind them are laughing so damn loud and i am still clueless what just happened...Singaporeans may find it offensive though, especially when talking about our "Mama"s, but i think its just another friendly gesture to them. It's like saying, "HI!" to them...

I love driving around in the terminal! you are the big boss in the jeep when you drive around...cause all the drivers know those in jeeps are either officers or area ics, especially when im driving the no.1 jeep which everyone knows belong to the officers...went to my wharf operator on sunday night and i just make a casual comment, "eh i though each crane should have a ship traffic assistant around to supervise the crane?" and the operator immediately radio call that guy to ask him to go back to his station...zzz...i was just asking around and he thought i was doing a spot-check...mega SNORT...

Awaiting my 2nd night...

Good morning! I just woke up...damn...i'm supposed to wake up at 5.30pm and go straight for work..but the brightness of the day doesn't seem to allow me to sleep in peace. Just finish my night shift this morning...kinda used to it already as i have been doing so many night shifts and i did alot of different stuff last night which made the shift feel extremely short...went and drove around the terminal in the jeep, yes i DROVE in the terminal for the first time, Shiok! and got attached to different people and also went around chasing those drivers and cranes to quicken the turnaround time...for the first time, i didn't even have a sleepy spell for the shift! so happy! i think when you are busy with stuff...feeling sleepy is the last thing on your mind! i was so worried when i did not feel sleepy, especially if i can't sleep when i'm home. Luckily, i felt DAMN sleepy once i sat infront of my PC in the morning when i reached home and finished my shower...Sleeping was a bliss...ARRRRRRRRRRRR...

Getting ready to go for my night shift! WOOOOOSH! I'm Lovin' it!
