Updates

The Legends at Fort Canning

Playing pool at The Legends

Had my company gathering for senior officers at The Legends last Friday. being early, me and my colleague started cue-ing away the balls till the bulk of them came... well, although it was hardly a chance we actually came together for such a gathering, i had to leave early for bball training at Singapore Basketball Centre. Lately, I have been taking a lot of cabs to and fro due to the bball trainings and games...damn...

My new addition to my room. A 32" Samsung TV. yesh! now I can enjoy both the TV and my laptop at the comfort of my room. heh. I even tried plugging my laptop to my TV so that i can enjoy the big screen. Next time i can play any movies i downloaded onto the TV...the only thing lacking now is....wireless mouse and keyboard...with them...hoho...talk about playing PC games on the big screen...oh no wait, i am still short of one item, a remote control that can switch off the lights and other electricity when i feel like sleeping...haha...is there anyone out there who can come up with it? =D

Southpark

Southpark...my companion for the past few weeks...for those interested, you can go to www.southparkzone.com for free online streaming of the show although i have only watched from season 10 onwards, so i wun be too sure if the previous shows are still there... well i guess once i finish season 12, i will start watching from season 1 onwards. ;)

the many faces of Eric Cartman.
Although he is selfish, HOT-tempered and swears like nobody's business, he really juiced up the series alot and southpark would not be so colorful without his character around. To sum it up, you need a bad guy to spice things up. =)

Lovely

Tomorrow Never Comes
~~~
If I knew it would be the last time that I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly, and pray the Lord your soul to keep.
If I knew it would be the last time that I'd see you walk out the door, I would give you a hug and kiss, and call you back for just one more.
~
If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would tape each word and action, and play them back throughout my days.
If I knew it would be the last time, I would spare an extra minute or two,
To stop and say "I love you," instead of assuming you know I do.
~
So just in case tomorrow never comes, and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I love you, and I hope we never will forget.
Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike,
And today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight.
~
So if you're waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes, you'll surely regret the day
That you didn't take that extra time for a smile, a hug, or a kiss,
And you were too busy to grant someone, what turned out to be their one last wish.
~
So hold your loved ones close today, and whisper in their ear,
That you love them very much, and you'll always hold them dear.
Take time to say "I'm sorry," "Please forgive me," "thank you" or "it's okay."
And if tomorrow never comes, you'll have no regrets about today.
Got this from the book "an hour to live an hour to love" by Richard Carlson and Kristine Carlson. It's a really short read, but it really reminds one what we are really pursuing in life. If you have one hour to call someone, who would it be and what would you say? If you have one hour to do something, what would you do? and if you don't know when that hour will come, why are you not doing it now, for the next hour may be your last hour...
Once in a while you come across things like that and you tell yourself.."i shall be nice to my loved ones..." and over time, you forget about what you wanted and again, you started chasing things that you never would have wanted when you look back...would you want to go out and spend all your money shopping in your last hour? If you do, i guess it's really kinda sad...and there are always millions of things your heart wants, but the best things in life aren't things...well having "things" do sweeten and enhance your life to a certain extent but only to a certain extent you would trade your time with but the BEST things definitely ain't things. And more often than not, in the pursuit of excellence and "fast ascension" in the corporate ladder, most of us find it hard to say NO to our work demands, which results in long hours, heavy workloads, more stress which translates to more frustration brought home and in turn, served to blind us from what you really are looking for.
I haven't reach that stage yet, but I guess I would started facing such dilemma in a couple of years and I hope I haven't sunk in too deep then to realise how many years I have wasted pursuing something and losing something even more important in return.
Endure.
After thinking about it for sooooooooo long, i decided...once again....to endure....for there are greater things i can achieve if i endure...hopefully...hurhur...
oh anyway, later my day shift...it will be the final shift with my manager before he flies to India and after that, im on leave for Sunday, off on Mon and Tue and Night shift on Wed. So practically i have 4 days off... shiok! =) now is the time to find something to do for these 3 days off...
Won!
The key is not the "will to win" . . . everybody has that. It is the will to prepare to win that is important. - Bobby Knight
A sense of old NUS style. Hassle. Aggressive. 1 more game to secure a spot in next year Division I and 2 more games for a shot at semis. It's time to dominate.
games, boss and thereafter.
Min Yi - won! Chong Yi next~! although we didnt played a great game last wed, still quite positive about winning the upcoming game coming this wed.
lately my boss has been on a roll, went bonkers, back to his old ways of shouting and screwing needlessly and over-doing it. And I am, unfortunately, bearing the brunt of it all. getting very pissed at all these and who knows if at any time i will lose control and screw him back. going to work is getting to be such a torture...a dread...cant wait for him to go for his overseas trip in 3 weeks time and give me a 6 weeks of peace and hopefully, by the time he is back, i will already be in different group... pleaseeee....
P.A.I.N
I am going to sleep early today. tireds. Went to Chinatown with my dad to do this massage, which I really wun call it a massage. My dad says that my whole body is too stiff and needa loosen it up abit. And so i paid 70 bucks for 2 hours of freaking pain massaging, where the sinseh practically uses his whole body strength, weight, elbows and everything to press my whole body. Read: its freaking painful. Now my whole body feels painful from the session, and tired. I guess my muscles do feel alot "softer", can visibly feel the blood flowing smoother inside my body, but it still freaking hurts. Ouch~ and so~ i shall tune in early and get ready for my bball game tomorrow against Min Yi. Hope the massage does wonder and i can jump higher, run faster and last longer. I will need it tomorrow. Heh. =)
brain dead
Okay im brain dead. All my brain cells are burnt up. and Im not thinking well right now. I have been in front of my freaking PC from 12midnight till now (5am), moving nothing but my fingers to finish all my reports to submit by today and my eyes are FREAKING TIRED and i am HUNGREEEEEEE.. not to mention i went back to office prior to that just to take all those statements owing and all the other stuff that i can only do in office... im not thinking straight now...
***
On the bright side, i have ALOT less reports to do next month PROVIDED i dun have alot of accidents from now on. I think i cannot wait and store all the reports and do it at a go. This is really deadly if you have a pile waiting for you to clear them up. I have better clear some every week to prevent this hellish nightmare from happening again.
***
Okay i need to go and bath and get myself cosy and make myself fall to zzz soonz or i be a zombie when i wake up.
