ol' times.

was having breakfast with my mum the other day and she was talking about the old days...and then i realise something...next time when someone is getting married and you planned on giving the couple something...better make sure its SIGNIFICANT...
...
cause my mum can remember exactly WHO gave WHAT...
LOL
she can tell me this aunt gave the fridge, that one gave the TV, this one gave the what and what...its either she is bullshiting or she has a really good memory...i choose to believe the latter one...guys will never get it, do they? how can women remember things so well? =D

woot one helluva scoring shift.

wah my day shift yesterday was the best i ever had since i was here from June. No major incidents, managed to siam one accident report, freaking good crane rate with very decent productivity. lets hope its the same tonight. =)
Shall be buying "chuan bei pi pa gao" to work and get high on it for my night shift. bad cough, evil germs wreaking havoc inside...maybe i can go to the doc and get myself a one day MC and skip my not so needed standby day. hah.
I just send out an email informing boss that I will be going for a 28days reservist. I wonder how they will react. hurhur.

the week ahead...

P.S KJ: I'm not belittling India or what, k? it's just that they are at the wrong place at the wrong time pissing the wrong person. hahaha...I have nothing against them.. like today on my way home on cab, theres this Indian girl cycling, trying to juggle the bicycle with just two legs. Its so stupid cos its so dangerous as any car would have come out of the small road and knock her down. I'm not saying shes stupid, you know???
...Just that MAYBE shes not SO clever as to realise that in the event the driver never notice her, she will not be able to react in time and steer the bike to safety when she does not have her hands on the handle bar? Am I right? the funny thing is she actually used her hands to stop us when its so clear that the taxi would be out of her way before she even reached where we were, given her speed. The driver still gave way anyway and we waited while we watch the clown juggling in front of us. I'm not sure if i heard the driver gave a smirk though I seemed to have heard that. LOL.
you wanna do that, do that somewhere that will not cause trouble/hindrance to others... =P

The week ahead~

Sunday - day shift

lousy shift

lousy day shift i had yesterday....so bad i din really feel like writing any shift report at the end of the shift...so i was in a kinda bad mood when i left...and anything that looks stupid pissed me:-
---
1)there was this group of non-singaporean indians entering the lift as I am. Being in a bad mood, I just stood at the back of the lift. They entered and for ten seconds, that stupid bunch pressed nothing, staring into space. and then they figured they need to press something. SNORT. they pressed level 1. WTF. we are AT LEVEL 1. MEGA SNORT.
---
2)thats not the best yet. we reached B1. got out of the lift. they turned left. to get on the escalator. that brings them back to the same level/place we came from. its so obvious they needed to turn right to go to the MRT. I guess they have no lift or basements in India.
---
3)Going down the stairs on my way home, theres this lady who walked down the stairs at a slow speed compared to mine and she was using the middle lane...zzz...its not like shes a bamboo stick that I can squeezed past. zzz... cant she just KEEP LEFT? million of little things that annoyed me when i get in a bad mood.

work work...

After one week plus of independence, things are picking up...more freedom, more things to do...and really alot of things to do...so much so that the day just went past like that... Normally for Day shift i will sleep from 12-5am and go for work, wun feel tiredness or such as I would be so bz at work until I finished work at about 830 to 9pm (if NOTHING happens!). and I get to go out late late if i want since i am not working the next morning. and then night shift no boss around, "eng eng cheng cheng" "you jing wu sian, you dao qi dian..."(meaning: have shock but no danger, seven oclock it is again) as what my colleagues always say... =D
Well, relationship with my junior officers in the control room is getting better than before and thats a good thing. when you initially step into the control room, people were not so friendly. afterall, people come and go. so its good that people are starting to warm up to you.
work-wise, operations...there are 1000 and 1 ways to run your shift and each person's style differs, some go for this some go for that and what you do today may be different from the next depending on your junior officers' style and ability, your bosses' wants, the types of vessels and operations and your MOOD. so sometimes, you can sit back do nothing and the shift scores, other days you fight fire like mad and you still get f**ked up scores at the end of your shift. LOL

Eventful week.

Blubber in her "SIA" uniform - at Club Plush for my friend's opening on Friday.
Of course this is not club Plush, its the coffeeshop outside la...and she never bring IC so i stayed outside with her... LOL

My dog, Vitto, sleeping comfortably on my sofa. He really knows how to enjoy life. He didnt even move abit when i took the pictures. He was looking at me, saying, "see what see? never see a dog sleeping on a sofa before ah?" =D

Woah~ its been a week since i posted and i didnt realise it. seems like the week just zipped by without me realising. went for my reservist briefing on Friday and since the inspectors for my troop are not coming back for the In Camp training in November, I had to take over the troop come Nov in camp. mega Snort. and that means another 3 days of briefing before 9th, extending my reservist from 9th Nov - 29th Nov to 6th Nov - 29th Nov. ARRRRRRRR... i think my colleagues are so going to hate me...but it will be a really long break from work for me, plus i will get to save ALOT of money since its IN CAMP and i only book out on Sat and go back on Sun. HOHO... SAVE SAVE SAVE...

And that means i also gotta start training up for IPPT to get GOLD, another 400bucks! and MARKSMAN, another 200 bucks!!! WOOT!

Saturday, went for my colleague's wedding dinner...I'm 100 bucks lesser after the hongbao!!! and I guess this is the first of MANY MANY MANY more wedding dinner to attend since my age group friends are all reaching the get-married age.

Sunday, went Vivo to watch Death at A Funeral with Jun and Winson yesterday after my bball in school. Was deciding over watching this or resident evil...although i havent watched resident evil yet, but i think Death at a Funeral is much better than resident evil. Its kinda like a comedy revolving around a funeral. Nice comforting ending, funny actors, interesting plot...well maybe the start could have went been abit faster, i nearly fall asleep for the first 10mins with the hard-to-catch accent of the British. 4stars!

for one more day...

hoho... finished "one more day" by Mitch Albom within two days...its quite a meaningful book, tho its concept is something like his previous book "the five persons you meet in heaven". so i wouldnt say its gonna be nice for those looking for something new....but its still a nice meaningful book remindering a person to cherish one's own life and LIVE IT TO THE FULLEST!!!
Its gonna be a 2 nights shift for tomorrow and the day after...yawns...shall pay my sleep debt today before i accumulate more of it...
~~
I bought my new bag!! =D
That's because the one i bought in Hongkong is spoilt.
$75 in Bugis Junction. Woot~!
